Orchestral Music

Creation: Day Two, Sky

This piece is part of an ongoing project to tell the story of Genesis 1 through music. The entire suite will feature large orchestral arrangements and full SATB choir. This is the second movement, depicting the second day, when God created the sky. It is meant to evoke sensations of flight and beauty through many woodwind embellishments, runs, “floating” chords, and material with a large range. My orchestrations are written to be playable and idiomatic, ready to be handed to a live orchestra.
