Sintel

Sintel is a 2010 short film created by Blender Studios. It tells the story of a young girl (Sintel) who befriended a baby dragon, only for it to be snatched away by a much larger dragon. Sintel travels a long distance to the large dragon’s cave and kills it, but as it’s dying, she recognizes that it is actually her friend, now grown up. In this scene, she sits on the cliff face above the cave and mourns her friend. But as she walks away, her friend’s baby follows behind her, giving the audience hope. I re-wrote the music for this sad scene as part of my Berklee film scoring coursework.
